Happy Birthday!!

Today is my mother-in-law's birthday. She is a sweet lady that loves her family. She has 3 children, 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. At least I think that is right!! :)

Hi Ho Hi Ho

It's off to work he goes. Austin started his new job yesterday. He is working at Abuelo's which is a very nice Mexican food place with very good food!! So maybe he won't starve until he comes home for another visit!! :)

He sent a pic earlier today showing me the little bit of snow they had gotten. Wow- thunderstorms here and my baby boy has snow. I always try to take pictures of him when he is home and that really gets on his nerves. I took this one as he was leaving last Sunday. My sweet boy!!

Springtime fun

We had a great weekend with all of the children and grandchildren home. Kylie had an interview on Friday and it went well. Keep her in your prayer as she hopes to hear something in the next couple of days. We really hope she gets this one but if not, God has a different plan for her. She had to go back on Saturday because she had a wedding Saturday night and a clinical on Sunday. I miss her already!!! Austin was home all week for spring break and I think it was harder this time to let him go!! I thought it was supposed to get easier. Britni, Chuck and the kids left on Sunday evening and it really got quiet!! The weather was nice while everyone was home so we got to enjoy being outside- especially the little ones.

Kylie is coming home!!! She will be coming in tomorrow. She has an interview on Friday and will get to visit/study here for a few days. I can't wait for her to get here!!

Austin has been here all week which has been great and Britni, Chuck, Chandler and Rainey will come down on Friday. Yea!!!

What's missing????

Chandler lost his first tooth last Thursday evening but not his sense of humor and goofy face pictures!! When I got to Britni's she was worn out from a long day at school so we decided to go to Scotty P's for dinner. While we were there Chandler showed me his loose tooth. He had ordered a hamburger and had only taken a couple of bites and was not acting interested in it. We decided he was afraid that the tooth might come out and he would swallow it. He said he could feel the bottom and I told him it was probably just hanging on by a thread. I took a napkin and tried to get a hold on it but it didn't come out. There was a little blood on the napkin and Chandler saw it. Then I guess he pushed with his tongue and it did come out. He stuck out his tongue and there was this tiny, tiny tooth. I didn't think it was the tooth at first because it was so tiny. Once it was out we were all excited and I asked if he wanted a chocolate shake. I thought he deserved one after that. He said, "My tummy doesn't feel good." I think the blood scared him. He laid down on the seat beside me and went right to sleep!! That was pretty traumatic!!

. . .of spring break, that is!! Wednesday and Thursday I finished painting my bedroom and it looks great. I am now waiting for my interior decorator (Britni) to come and show me how to decorate. I will post pictures when it is all put together!! My baby boy came home on Wednesday night. I wasn't expecting him until Thursday so it was a nice surprise. I went to Britni's on Thursday afternoon and spent a couple of days. Rainey and I hung out on Friday and went to eat lunch at school with Chandler. Kindergarten lunch is pretty wild!! We were busy during the weekend. We played a little golf.

Spring Break Update

Okay - so it is only Tuesday but so far I have only done a couple of things on my spring break list. I have slept a little later than normal, haven't cooked a thing, I have talked to my children each day, but then I had to throw in a couple of visits to the dentist. I had to go to an endodontist yesterday for a root canal and I will go to the regular dentist today. Not fun at all!!! Maybe then I can get busy on painting my bedroom and other things I want to get done. Coach Baird came out yesterday morning and he and Robert put the texture on the two walls that had wallpaper so it is now ready for the painting!! On Friday I will keep my granddaughter. We will have lunch (actually brunch since their lunch time is 10:30) at school with Chandler. Then we will hang out on Saturday and Britni and I will go for a massage on Saturday afternoon. Britni gave me a massage for Christmas and one for herself so we will take full advantage of that. (Kylie - we will all go when you are done with school in May. I am sure you will need it!!! )

Birthday Bash!!

We had a great weekend and it was really special because all of our children were there. Austin came home on Wednesday evening since he only has classes on Monday and Wednesday so we got to have him for several days but still not long enough!! Steven and Kylie went to Chuck and Britni's on Thursday evening. Trevor, Erin and Noah came on Saturday for the party. Kylie and Steven kept Rainey on Friday and had lunch with Chandler at his school which was pretty entertaining. We went down Friday after school and the girls and I headed to the nail salon for a much needed pedicure. Kylie was going to a job fair on Saturday morning so we had to get her clothed for that. We had to make a late night run to the store for a cute jacket to finish her outfit. We were all up early Saturday morning with last minute errands for the party and getting Kylie off to the job fair. Chandler kept saying we needed to go to the park because it was 2 o'clock. Of course it was freezing cold!!! And the wind was blowing at least 50 miles an hour at the park but those little kindergartens had a blast and I don't think they realized it was cold. Chandler was all smiles and said he had fun. Rainey was having a blast as well but we finally had to get her out of the cold and take her home for a nap.

We had a great time!! Trevor, Erin and Noah left after the party. Steven and Kylie left Saturday night because Kylie had to be at the hospital this morning at 6:45 for clinicals and Austin left this morning. The kids all made it home safely. We went to church this morning with Britni and her family and then headed back home this afternoon. And it's back to the grind tomorrow!!!
