I spent spring break with the kids and grandkids but I have not had time to post any pictures so here goes!!

During spring break our niece at Intimate Photography by Amelia took engagement photos of Kylie and Steve. The pictures are wonderful!! Amy posted a few on her website if you would like to check it out.

I went back this weekend for the Vet School open house and Britni and a couple of Kylie's friends had a lingerie shower for her.




I think she had fun and Britni had her home decorated really cute. I had a great weekend but I am already fretting because I think I may not get to see the grandkids for a month. Yikes!!!

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.....

I am going to have to get back to work so I can get some rest. heehee Britni, Rainey and I have shopped and shopped and shopped some more and I think we are getting things lined out. I finally found a dress yesterday that I think will work and I found shoes today. There are a few more invitations that need to be mailed and we need to check that list again. Kylie had bridal pictures done on Wednesday and engagement pictures done on Thursday. She finally got to meet with the florist last week when she was in town. I think we are now down to the minute details of making sure we have every thing and finalizing plans with the decorators, caterer, baker, musicians and such.

I am having a blast with these babies. As a matter of fact Princess Rainey is helping me with this post so if there happens to be extra unexplained letters they are Rainey's input. We have shopped, played cars and trucks and Wii, we have gotten 6 sugar cookies at the mall (that is always Chandler's request) and eaten at Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers!! On Wednesday Kylie had bridal pictures done. Jesse de la Cruz with Studio 360 took them. She looked so beautiful!! I can't wait to get the pictures. Studio 360 is where Britni had Chandler and Rainey's first pics done and their first family pictures. Jesse does an awesome job and their pictures were super!! Kylie and Steven have gone today to get engagement pics done. Our niece is doing them and she takes wonderful pictures so I know they will be awesome. Amy will also be doing the pictures for the wedding. Gotta go play. Later. . .

Down south

The girls, grandkids and I headed south yesterday and made it to Britni's last night. She and the kids and I went this afternoon to look again for me a dress for Kylie's wedding. I ordered one last week and it will work if I don't find the perfect one out there. I will be here this week babysitting while Britni subs and then Kylie will have bridal portraits on Wednesday. Another busy week ahead!!

Introducing Dirk, Samantha and Noble!!

As I posted back in January, Austin's chocolate lab died and we were all soooo sad!!! Well...Austin now has a new friend- Dirk- a yellow lab.


I sent Kylie and Steven with Austin to pick up his new puppy and they came back with 3 puppies!!! Kylie decided that Chandler needed one which they named Noble as in "The Noble Men of Kyle" (an Aggie song)and Steven became attached to a little black one that Kylie has named Samantha.

Busy, busy...

I am really behind in the posting. Last week I spent trying to clean house and we had my niece's rehearsal on Friday evening. The kids and grandkids all came in on Friday night and then we had a wedding on Saturday. Britni and the grandkids are staying this week so if I don't do a lot of posting it is because I am playing!! Here are a few pics. Chandler always runs off and won't let me take his picture. Stinker!!

Snow Day...NOT!!

I was certainly hoping for huge mounds of white fluff this morning so I wouldn't have to go to school, but we only had a slight dusting of the frozen powder. Oh well...maybe next time!!

No luck...

I guess I have no Irish blood. My sister, Ann and I shopped all day yesterday and I had no luck finding the right dress for Kylie's wedding. We left at 7:00 a.m. and headed to Frisco. We shopped there until about 4 or so and then went over to Terry Costa. Still no luck. We stopped in Rockwall with still no luck!!! I do still have some time to look but I want the perfect dress to just jump out at me and say- here I am!! My niece is getting married this weekend and I couldn't even find a dress for her wedding either. Am I too picky or what??? However I did find a sweet little bikini for Rainey. heehee She will need it to swim in Granna's pool this summer during Camp Granna.

Oh yes - and let me mention mine and Chandler's favorite eating joint one more time!! You know I have raved over Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers. Well..I had a comment on one of my first posts about Cane's thanking me for the nice comments and such and left a phone number because they were going to send me a surprise. I was a bit skeptical at first so I did a reverse look up with the number and sure enough it was a real Raising Cane's. The lady and I played phone tag a couple of times and then finally made a connection. They were wanting to thank me by doing something nice and she needed my address. Of course my family teased me that they were sending a lawsuit because I used a pic from their website, but no...I got a nice letter from the vice-president of Marketing and a $10.00 gift card so Chandler and I can go back to Cane's next time I go visit my children.

The actual letter stated...
"Thanks again for writing such nice things about us on your blog. It really means a lot to us that someone would actually go out of their way to mention us on something as personal as their blog. Well we are going to return the favor and go out of our way to do something nice for you. We will be sending you a $10.00 gift card so you can take Chandler back for some more great Chicken Fingers on us!"

That is one of the nicest things that has ever happened to me. I was so shocked that when I talked to the Lady from Cane's that I forgot to ask how she came across my post about Raising Cane's but anyway...I will definitely be going back. My kids tease me a lot because Chandler and I go every time I visit and they act like the workers probably know me by name. I may buy a t-shirt next time!!
