Rainey - 100th Day of School plus Basketball

It has been so much fun having some of the grandbabies here with us and getting to see them excel in school and in sports.  For the 100th day of school, the elementary students dressed as 100 year old people.  Rainey looked so cute as an "old woman"!!  She wore the dress that I wore as my "going away" outfit on my wedding day.

I took the lens out of a pair of my old glasses for her to wear.

Then she wore a pair of droopy knee high hose.  She looked pretty cute!!

This year the Little Dribblers Association did a little developmental group with kindergarten, first and second grade students and taught them some basics such as identifying the out of bounds line, free throw line and such along with dribbling and passing skills.  At some of the sessions they would let them do some scrimmaging.

They were so cute and hopefully learned a lot!!

Happy Birthday, Sweet Rainey Girl!!

Wow - sweet Rainey girl is six!!!  Oh my, that surely can't be -  my beautiful, sweet granddaughter!!!

Rainey's party was the weekend before her actual birthdate. She invited several little girls from her school and her soccer team and it was wild!!!   There were also lots of family present for this special occasion.  Here is Aunt Katie, Nana, Uncle Eric, Granny,  Pa and Addison.

Uncle Austin and Daddy playing a little pre-party video games.

Harrison hanging out with Uncle Chuck

Cousins Harrison and Kinsler with Kinsler's Pa.

The theme of her party was Barbie and Britni is always so creative in her decorating!! She  didn't have to spend much on the decorations because she used Rainey's Barbie stuff to decorate and for serving pieces.

My sister, Ann made a Barbie cake one year for Britni's birthday and then when I had little girls she gave the Barbie cake pan to me.  I passed it on to Britni to use for Rainey's cake.  We weren't so sure about using the fondant but it turned out really cute.

Britni had Robert get a refrigerator box from work to use in the decorations.  Britni fixed it up like a Barbie box and then used it for pictures during the party.  Here is our precious little birthday  Barbie girl!!

Rainey's swim lessons

Rainey stayed with us for several days while she took swim lessons from Miss Mona in Sulphur Springs.  Mona has taught several family members how to swim including my niece and nephew and after they had children she taught my nephew's 2 daughters and we took Chandler to her a few years ago and now Rainey.

Rainey did very well at swim lessons.

Rainey loved it.  One day the car wouldn't start and she was going to be late so we decided not to take her but she cried wanting to go to her swim lesson so we went!!  She loves to swim!!

Summertime fun!!

Wow!!! It has been a while but I have been busy. As soon as school was out I had Rainey for a week since Britni's school went through the first week of June. Then the next week Britni had doctor's appointments and workshops so I had both kids last week. We had a good time with the grandkids and I am making plans for Camp Granna which will be later on in the summer. Here are a few pics from the last couple of weeks. Chandler's little baseball team won their division and then they won the World Series Championship and he brought his trophies to show me.

Silly girl.

Chandler has always liked to help around the house. He is such a sweetheart!!

We spent a lot of time in the pool these last couple of weeks. Chandler has always had fun swimming and his little sister loves it as well!!

Doesn't my little handsome boy look too old!!

What a sweet little belly!! :)

You know - it is also fun to swim in your pajamas!!

Austin has been here for the summer and Chandler has really enjoyed that because Uncle Austin will play baseball with him!!

What precious kids - with a little mischief mixed in!! :)

Hope you are having a great summer as well!!
