Cowboy Church

A few years ago my brother told me about "Christmas in the Camp" which is an annual Christmas event hosted by the Red River Valley Bible Camp - The Cowboy Church in Paris and it is free to the public.  They present the true Christmas story in 9 live scenes throughout the woods around the church.  You are taken around the camp by horse or mule drawn wagons to view the scenes from the Christmas story.  It is about a 20-25 minute narrated ride and it just takes you back and makes you think about what it really might have been like when Jesus was born.  It is an unforgettable presentation of the celebration of our Savior's birth.

Kylie and Steven have not ever been with us but it happened to work out for them this year.  We headed to Paris early enough to eat at the Fish Fry and then headed to the Camp.  We can't go to Paris and not eat at theFish Fry!!!

We have tried to make it a yearly tradition.  They only present the Christmas story a few nights each December.  There are always tons of people there, but you get to wait inside the warm church. While you wait, they serve cookies, popcorn, hot chocolate, coffee and water.

Finally on the wagon.
