Christmas Prep

A favorite in the Taylor household is a little thing called Cinnamon/Cream Cheese Bread Rolls or "Fish Sticks" as we call them.  They got this nickname from my brothers when I would take them to family Christmas's.  They said they looked like fish sticks!!

Britni decided to prepare some to put in the freezer so we could bake them on Christmas morning.  Her children like them too so they were all to willing to help prepare the Fish Sticks.

This recipe calls for a loaf of bread - we usually use 2.  Cut the crusts off of each slice.  Chandler is really good at this step.

Then roll each slice out flat.  Rainey is pretty good at this step!!

While Chandler and Rainey were preparing the bread slices, Britni was making the cream cheese mixture to spread on each slice.  We use a package of cream cheese, mixed with sugar and an egg.  Mix this altogether and spread some onto each slice of bread.  Roll each slice of bread with the mixture and then dip them into melted butter and then in a cinnamon/sugar mixture.  Place on a baking sheet a freeze.  When you are ready to bake, take them out of the freezer for 15 minutes, cut each slice in half and bake.

Kinsler served as the taste tester for everything!!!

Yum, yum!!  Can't wait until Christmas morning!!!
