I noticed on Facebook that 2 of my favorite things were happening in conjunction with the Sulphur Springs Dairy Festival and parade - the hot air balloon rally and the world famouse Clydesdales!! I think hot air balloons are so awesome and I wanted to see them up close. I didn't see the lift off on Friday because I decided I would go early on Saturday morning however I slept in and missed them. There were a couple on the ground that they were taking down to load.
The other attraction - the Clydedales. I have always loved the Clydesdales so when I heard they were going to be in Sulphur Springs I made plans to attend the parade. During the days prior to the parade the horses were taken to various locations in town for people to come see them and be able to get up close and pet them. I was wishing my grands were here for that.I met my sister and we watched the parade together. There were several cute floats and lots of big tractors and trucks which Kinsler would have loved!!
I knew the Clydesdales had been housed at the Civic Center so I drove out to see if they see still there and they were!!! I enjoyed watching and petting them and I took lots of pictures however the photos don't do the magnificent Clydesdales justice!

The Clydesdales are so beautiful!! I am so glad I got to see the up close even though the pictures don't show how truly magnificent they are.
The Dalmatian was so cute. His name is Clyde.
After the parade we enjoyed lunch at Plain and Fancy.
This is how they travel. There were 3 pretty awesome 18 wheelers that haul 10 Clydesdales.
It was a fun day! Next year I plan to take the grands to the hot air balloon rally!!
