Camp Granna 2009 - day 1 and 2

We picked up the grandkids on Friday afternoon and it was time for bed when we got home. Chandler wanted he and I to sleep in Austin's room and since Camp Granna(or any other day) is all about the grandkids then that is where we slept. About 8:30 Saturday morning Chandler sat up and said, "Let the fun begin." I was thinking the fun might begin about 9:30 or later. :) We got up and Rainey of course was already awake. We had breakfast . . .



and then we had a little science activity. I had Chandler and Rainey put beans in a sponge to see if they would sprout. I wanted them to do this early in the week so hopefully they would sprout before they had to go home. Chandler thought that was pretty interesting but he wasn't so sure that they would sprout.








We were in the pool by 10:30 a.m. - the kids favorite place!!




After we swam, we had lunch and then Rainey was off for her nap. While she was napping, Chandler started on crafts. We started a project for his mommy's birthday.



Once we got the pieces glued together, Chandler painted each piece with help from Rainey.



Rainey woke up and we swam, played outside and inside, and watched TV until dinner and bedtime. We would start all over the next morning.

On Sunday morning we all got ready for church. Chandler always likes to go with us to our class so I stopped by the donut shop and got him 2 chocolate covered donuts. We got to class and Chandler started eating one of the donuts. One of our class members, Danny, came in and told Chandler to save him one of those donuts. Danny left and in a minute he came back. When Chandler saw him at the door, he put down the donut he was eating and picked up the other donut and took a bite out of it. Chandler had no intention of sharing his donuts!! We all laughed over that one!!



After church, we headed to DQ for lunch, came home and put Rainey down for a nap and Chandler watched a movie. After Rainey woke up we went swimming.
