Alaskan cruise - day 8 (Friday-June 11)

We cruised toward Victoria British Columbia Canada most of the day.

Robert went to the disembarkation informational meeting and crew farewell. I slept in!! When he got back we went to lunch. Saw some whales port side as we were finishing up lunch so we went out on deck to watch but they never got close enough for any good pics.

After lunch we went to a towel animal demonstration. It was pretty cool. I bought a little book so if you come visit me I will make one for you. Kylie came on Saturday and I made an elephant and had it sitting on her bed with chocolate kisses. :)

These guys were our stewards for the week. They did an awesome job of cleaning the room and keeping fruit in our room and making those cute little towel animals!!

I then did some more reading . . .

and picture taking . . .

(all these birds kept flying around the ship so Robert took many pics of them)

. . .until we docked in Victoria.

(the welcoming crew)

In Victoria we went on an evening whale watch excursion - but were unsuccessful! We did see a few seals and birds.

We saw some houses that were literally on the water. We were told they were very expensive!!

It was the Canadian Naval Centennial Celebration and the USS Ronald Reagan was in the harbor surrounded by several of the Canadian naval ships. At 10 p.m. there was a fireworks show fired from the USS Ronald Reagan.

Our ship at night all lit up!!

I then tried to finish up packing since we would be docking back in Seattle at 7 a.m. It was an awesome anniversary trip!!
