Ahhhh, Aggieland!! We decided we wanted to attend a game so Britni got tickets for the A&M vs. Rice game. Steven, Kylie, Harrison and Hadley went to his parents' on Friday and they we're going to meet us on Saturday for the game. Chuck, Britni, Chandler, Rainey, Kinsler and I followed by Trevor and Noah left early Saturday morning so we could hit a couple of tent sales, eat at Koppe Bridge and then get to the campus to walk around and watch the Corps march in.
We got to College Station and headed to Koppe Bridge to beat the lunch crowd. It was amazing as always. The kids always have fun on the arcade games and then Chandler and Noah put their mark on the table!!
Then we headed to do a little shopping at Maroon U and C. C's Creations. We all found some cute shirts and other Aggie stuff. Since it was a late game, we were going to spend the night at Cheryl and Travis' condo so after a little shopping we headed to the condo to unload and change into game attire. We then headed to campus.
We walked around campus to show Noah some different areas. We walked through the quad, through the campus and up to the Century Tree, Sully's statue, the Rudder Fountain and then went into the MSC Bookstore.
We then grabbed some Chick- fil-A and waited for the Corps. The Corps is always so amazing to watch! Then we headed to our gate to watch the team walk in. Britni and I got up close and personal. I was so excited to get a pic of Coach Sumlin and a pic and high five from Kenny Hill - the quarterback.
The stadium looks so awesome. The renovations so far are amazing and the spirit of Aggieland definitely prevails!!!
It was around midnight when the game ended. We headed to the condo and straight to bed.
On Sunday, morning we loaded up to do a little more campus touring and a little more shopping. We went to the Bonfire Memorial since Trevor and Noah had never seen it. It is such an emotional experience I don't care how many times I have toured the memorial.
Afterwards we went to Aggieland Outfitters and then to eat at McAlisters and then headed home!
The boys entertained themselves with their iPods.
Pit stop at Buc-cees!!!
