Happy Thanksgiving

This year was the girls' year to go to their in-laws, however since Chuck's parents live in the same town, they did stay a couple of days with us.  On Wednesday, we took the grands to see the movie - Frozen.  It was a good movie and we had a great time.

It was a pretty quiet Thanksgiving Day with just Robert, Austin and I.  I didn't take many pictures.  I only got one of Austin.  He spent the day watching movies or football games.

Since I didn't get a lot of pictures of the 3 of us I took pictures of the fall decorations and food instead.  :)

We had the traditional turkey and dressing.  The recipe is a combination of my mom's recipe and my sister's and then I did a little tweaking of the 2 to make it my own.  I made giblet gravy using directions from my mother-in-law.

I made pumpkin pie baked in my mother's pie plate and macaroni and cheese made in my mom's big cooking pot, so even though we were without special family members on this day, we always have the memories!!

Kylie sent pictures of her little turkeys.

Count your many blessings!!!  I know I have many to be thankful for!!
A savior in Jesus Christ, my salvation and a healthy family including my husband and beautiful children and grandchildren!!
Happy Thanksgiving!
