On December 23rd we finally got to visit the North Pole of Texas for our traditional train ride. Due to the weather on previous weekends we were afraid the grands weren't going to get to ride the train this year. We have ridden the train for 11 years having started the tradition when Chuck and Britni were expecting Chandler.
A family a few miles down the road from us built the first Christmas train in 1998. They invited friends and family and it has evolved from there. They now have 4 trains that run along a track and they have added something each year whether it was more lights, a live nativity, mannequins in a boat riding around in the pond or Mrs. Claus. A few of years ago they added a couple of TVs and they broadcast the owner reading the Christmas story from the bible while people are in waiting in line. This year they added a 4th train which makes waiting in line so much faster and they added another bridge. They also have a hot chocolate stand that serves the best hot chocolate.
They do this every year for free. They enjoy doing it and they want everyone to remember the real reason for the season and that is celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ.
Britni, Chuck, Rainey, Kinsler, Chandler

Hadley is all snug in the Moby wrap under Mommy's jacket. :)

None of the kids cried when they saw Santa in his workshop. Santa always greets everyone on the train and hands out Mike & Ike's candy.
Kinsler grabbed 2 bags of candy with one hand and grabbed Santa's beard and pulled it down with his other hand.
Even though most of my pictures on the train were blurry, we had a great time!!
