North Pole of Texas 2012

On Friday, December 21 we took our annual train ride at the North Pole of Texas.

A family a few miles down the road from us built the first Christmas train in 1998.  They invited friends and family and it has evolved from there.  They now have 3 trains that run along a track and they have added something each year whether it was more lights, a live nativity, mannequins in a boat riding around in the pond or Mrs. Claus. A few of years ago they added a couple of TVs and they broadcast the owner reading the Christmas story from the bible while people are in waiting in line.  They also have a hot chocolate stand that serves the best hot chocolate.

We started going the year Chuck and Britni were expecting Chandler and we have gone every year since.  Steven and Kylie couldn’t make it last year so this was Harrison’s first year to ride the train and I believe he liked it!!!  He cried when we had to unload.  L
This was also Kinsler’s first year.  He slept through the entire outing.
The big guys always act like they don’t want to go but I think they really enjoy it as well.

Who wouldn’t enjoy watching the excitement on these little faces!!!

They do this every year for free. They enjoy doing it and they want everyone to remember the real reason for the season and that is celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ.
