America's top models . . .

. . . well they should be. We tried to get some fall pics of the kids in their backyard a couple of weeks ago. Some of them were pretty good.

And one of my very favorites - in typical brother-sister fashion!!! He had the pumpkin that she wanted!! LOL

Who needs IHOP??

Britni, Chuck, Chandler and Rainey were home this past weekend for homecoming. On Saturday morning I was awakened by a little angel voice. Chandler said, "Granna, are you coming? It's 8:26." Who could lay there and sleep??!! We went downstairs and I decided to make some pancakes and my little angel buddy wanted to help. It was just Chandler and I and it was peaceful and quiet as Grandad was outside getting ready to mow the yard and everyone else was still asleep.

While cracking the eggs and letting them slide out of the shell, Chandler said, "This looks like snot." He wasn't grossed out. He was simply making a statement.

The little princess woke up in time to help eat the pancakes.

Fun times making memories!!

Gig 'em, Aggies!!

Recently, I acquired free tickets to an Aggie game. I knew Britni had wanted to go and sadly Kylie was working. I called Britni and she was so excited to have the chance. We left her house last Saturday morning at 5:45 a.m. as we wanted to get there early enough to hit ALL of the tent sales!! :) We arrived in College Station a little after 9 and hit the C.C. Creations tent sale. After that we headed down Texas Ave. to Kolache Rolf's for breakfast.

This place has the BEST kolache's. The bread absolutely melts in your mouth!!

We hit another couple of tent sales then we needed to run into Target. You know the granddaughter's birthday is coming up and I am on the hunt for some things in particular. By then it was lunch time so you know I had to go to my all time favorite - Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers. I am telling you I love that place.

A little side note - we are going to visit Austin this weekend and they have a Raising Cane's in Lubbock!!! Oh yeah!!

Then we headed to the mall. I needed a new Aggie Mom sticker for my new car and Britni had a couple of things she was looking for. We then headed to Toys R Us for more birthday shopping. After that we headed to Kyle Field. Before the game we went to the former student building to get a sticker for Kylie. They had done some remodeling there and had added a huge replica of the coveted Aggie ring. It was awesome.

We had super seats for the game. After the playing of the National Anthem, they have a flyover and I have to fight the tears every time. Most of the time at least one of the pilots is a former Aggie student.

The 12th man. If you don't know about the 12th man check out this site. http://aggietraditions.tamu.edu/12thman.shtml

And the Fightin' Texas Aggie Band!!

Afterwords we stopped by another one of my favorites, Freebirds, for a "snack" for the trip home. They also have one of these in Lubbock!! :)

We had an awesome time and the Aggies won. Gig 'em, Aggies!!

No recess again??!!!

Rain, rain go away.
Come again some other day.
The teachers want the kids to go out and play!!!

I really am thankful for the rain but oh my goodness when the students can't get out and run off some of that pent up energy - it gets wild!! There was a break in the rain at our recess time today so we took them out and let them play/visit under the pavillion. We were out there maybe 10 minutes when it started in again. We are soooo saturated!!!

I kept Chandler and Rainey yesterday afternoon so Britni and Chuck could attend a funeral. I got out an umbrella that belonged to my children when they were little and let Chandler take it home. It is the same umbrella that I let Chandler take to the shower when he was visitng a couple of summers ago. It wasn't raining at the time and he thought it was pretty neat to get in the shower with an unbrella!!! Little Rainey has been wearing her sweet zebra print raincoat and rainboots all week. I think she likes her little boots!

Weekend visit

Austin was home for the weekend. We went to Chuck and Britni's on Saturday night and spent the night so he could visit with his sisters and their families. It was a fun visit but the time is always too short. Austin left after lunch today headed back to school.

Buddies!! Causing a little conflict at the Johnson household.

Rainey lovin' on Uncle Austin.

Street ball -

Rainey was in hog heaven playing football in the street with her daddy and uncles.

And a little bike riding!! (Or maybe I should say - riding a little bike.) I warned them that they would find themselves on the blog. LOL

Happy Labor Day!

Oh Brother!!!

Aren't big brothers great??!! We have this plastic cow that is motion activated and it moos really loud. When Chandler and Rainey were babies that mooing cow would unnerve them both. We had not turned the cow on in a long time but Chandler recently happened upon it and started tormenting baby sister with it.

She ran to her mommy and would not get down as long as Chandler had the cow.

Just look at the mischief in that precious face!!

Poor Rainey!! I am sure there will be lots more aggravation in her future!!
