Time to go back to school. No more running to get the grandkids in the middle of the week or running to see the Rangers play or floating lazily in the pool in the middle of the day. But then their are new students to get to know and football and grandkids fall basketball and family reunions and so on!!!

Family!!

We had a family get together at our house on Saturday complete with a Wii bowling tournament. Here is one of the contestants, Tim - my brother-in-law.



These were the finalists and Kristie did represent the ladies well and won the tournament. :)

We had fun eating, bowling and swimming.

Britni and her children spent the night. We went to Sunday school the next morning and then came home to get Austin packed and ready to head back after 4 very short days at home!! He had some time to visit friends here and help his dad in the yard. It is so strange and quiet without Austin at home. Here are few pics we took before he left. This one reminds me of Kylie when she was little - having a tantrum. LOL Chandler would not let Rainey have a turn on the tractor plus - she needed a nap!!

Austin is home!! Yea!!

Austin made it home on Wednesday - a couple of days earlier than he had planned which was a great suprise!!



And I know you have been wondering about Chandler and Rainey's beans!!?? We don't have enough for a meal just yet. :)

Camp Granna - final days

Camp Granna was kind of hit or miss this summer. We were here for a few days and then went back to celebrate birthdays and then came back to Camp Granna for a day and then went back to help Chuck and Britni move into their new home.

On Wednesday morning it was cool out under the trees so Chandler and Rainey played a while in the sandbox.









Then they played on the swingset (slide) until it started to warm up.









Then we headed to the pool. They are getting a great tan!!







After Rainey went to bed, Chandler did some finger painting.



The next day we headed to take the grandkids back and move them all to their brand new home!! They took a family vacation this week and it is very quiet around my house!!! Until next year - Camp Granna 2010. Can't wait!!

Twenty-one

Happy 21st Birthday, Austin!!



Wow!!! Our baby boy is 21 today!! I know you are thinking - how can that be? Lisa is not that old! I know, I know - but indeed our baby is twenty-one years old today!! It seems like just the other day. I texted him at midnight to wish him happy birthday. Yes - he texted back! Did you think he was asleep already?? Yeah - right.



The girls were so excited to have a baby brother. Kylie said, "Let's name him Austin." But she drug out the Aus and it sounded more like Oestin. Britni was determined she was having a brother. I told her that we didn't have any say in the matter and that God would give us what He wanted us to have. I said, "Britni, what if God decides that we need another baby sister?" She quickly replied, "Well, we will keep it for 2 weeks and send it back!!" Thank goodness we got Austin and we didn't have to "send it back".

Austin - you have been so much fun. We have been so blessed with such a wonderful son!! I miss you sooo much way off out west. We love you and hope you have a great birthday. Can't wait to see you this weekend!!!

Camp Granna - day 3

Chandler and Rainey wrote letters to Mommy and Daddy (or double D as Chandler referred to Chuck) from camp. LOL





Chandler finished his craft project which was a vase of flowers for his Mommy's birthday. He plans for her to put it on her desk or shelf at school.



Today while Rainey was taking a nap Chandler and I hit a few golf balls around the yard and then we tried a little badminton.





And of course we did some swimming when Rainey woke up!!



After lunch we headed back to Wylie to spend the night because Rainey had dance class on Tuesday morning. After dance class we celebrated Britni and Steven's birthdays. Chuck cooked steaks on the grill and we had baked potatoes and salad and of course - birthday cake.







After spending time with the birthday girl and boy we headed back home to finish Camp Granna. Chandler and Rainey had to check the progress on the beans which were beginning to sprout!!
