We started the day by attending church. It was a patriotic service and we sang several patriotic songs and got to hear my nephew sing a solo part with the adult choir. Came home from church to lunch of roast, green beans and new potatoes (from our neighbors garden) and carrots that I had put in the crock pot the night before. Austin came in this weekend for a wedding so I got to see him on my birthday. He can't stand for me to take pictures of him!!!
Shortly after lunch everyone hit the pool. We had some camp visitors that came to swim. Linza and Paisley came to hang out at the pool with Britni, Chandler and Rainey.

After dinner we had a matching game/scavenger hunt. I picked up some paint chips, courtesy of Lowes and the kids found things outside that matched those colors. They did really well at matching!!

Then Rainey and Britni whipped up a delicious birthday cake for me. They all sang happy birthday to me and then we ate cake and waited for Granddad to get home from El Campo.
I always remember our mom letting us lick the beaters from the mixer!!
My cake was pretty and so yummy!!!
It was a slow but fun day. What a great birthday to get to spend it with family!!!
