When the girls were going to school at Texas A&M, we started a tradition of attending Parents' Weekend which includes Aggie Mom's Boutique, the Maroon and White game and other fun activities during that weekend. We have been going every year and have just made it a girls weekend plus kids!! We always have fun - laugh a lot, visit and eat at a few of our favorite places in College Station.
We started off Saturday morning at our favorite breakfast place - Kolache Rolf's. Their kolache's are awesome.
Rainey likes their cinnamon rolls and chocolate milk!!
Next we headed out to the tent sales! We went to Maroon U and then to C. C. Creation's which has a huge warehouse where they set up and sell t-shirts, flags, cups, jewelry, etc. Kylie found a shirt for Harrison and he carried it around the entire store - dragging it around cleaning the floors and flinging it around dusting the columns. LOL!! So cute!!
After lots of shopping we had lunch at Layne's. You know Raising Cane's is my favorite but people say Layne's is just as good so we decided to go so I could make my comparison.
Layne's was okay but my forever favorite is Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers!!!
After lunch we went to the MSC (Memorial Student Center). They have remodeled this building and I had not seen it completed. It is beautiful. Aggie Mom's Boutique was held in the MSC this year. We shopped Aggie Mom's Boutique until time to head to the field for the football game. While shopping sweet Harrison fell asleep. Tired baby!!
He slept through the first part of the game and when he woke up Granna got some sweet snuggles for the longest time!! :)
This was precious Kinsler's first Maroon and White game. He was intently watching those Aggies!!
You know I did get several pictures of Johnny Football!!!
After the game Kylie visited with a friend and I tried to get some cute pictures of my grand babies.
My handsome grandson, Harrison.
My pretty granddaughter, Rainey!
Sweet little future Aggies!!!
Then we headed over to take our annual pictures by the giant Aggie ring.
It appeared that Harrison was doing some yell leader moves!!
We went to a couple of more tent sales and then we ate at Koppe Bridge. The kids played outside with some "new" little Aggie friends while we waited for our hamburgers.
We stayed at my sister-in-law and brother-in-law's condo. It was so nice!!! Thank you Cheryl and Travis for letting us stay there!!!
I wanted some pictures with my grandkids since I had been taking pictures of everybody else all day.
Sweet kids!
But this is how it really went down!!! They were tired from a long day and done with picture taking.
After eating and bath time they were in better spirits!! Harrison loves Kinsler. He likes to pat him on the head and take his pacifier out of his mouth and then put it back in.
Tonight Harrison decided to sit in Kinsler's lap. It was hilarious. He just turned his back to Kinsler and sat down. Then he would turn around and give him kisses.
Rainey sat in the "way back" as they call it and watched movies the whole way home. These two were my backseat traveling buddies!
We had a great time and I can't wait for next year!!
