Move over Pioneer Woman - there's a new cookbook in town!

After my mother passed away - I took her recipes and typed them up for my brothers and sisters. Nothing special - just plain old typing on an old old computer - with a laminated cover. Since Mother's recipes are the best - we all used that book a lot. My oldest sister, Ann said hers was coming apart and she figured ours were as well so she set out on a mission - the secret project.

Now when she starts a project it may be a small idea but it usually grows. She goes all out and this project was no different. She asked us to send in our families' favorite recipes and any pictures we might have of our children or grandchildren in the kitchen. She took these and added them to all of Mother's recipes from the book I had done and put it all together with lots of love.

Then she sent us all an invitation to the Revelation/Coke Float Party and had printed us all a cookbook complete with Mother's recipes as well as favorites from my brothers and sisters families as well as my own families' favorites.

She had also included pictures and funny comments about memories that we have shared. We had a great time looking through the book. Of course we went through the first time looking at the pictures and reading the comments.

Some of us were more interested in the Wii games than the cookbook!!

Then we headed to our weekly Friday night meeting spot - White Oak - for fish.

My brother has a good time where ever he goes!! Isn't he creative with his ice cream!

As we were leaving we noticed this little creature.

And of course my brother is going to pick it up!!

Thank you, Ann for the cookbook and the special times we share.
