Sister Day
Every summer my sisters and I try to have a sister day to hang out together. On Thursday we had our summer Sister Day. My 2 sisters, Ann and Barbara and my sister-in-law (honorary sister), Tina headed to the Dallas area to shop, eat, etc!! They had never seen Britni and Chuck's new home so we headed there first and took the tour.
Then we headed to Watters Creek at Montgomery Farm.
Our first stop was the Vera Bradley store. Ann loves the Vera Bradley collection!! They do have some beautiful items.
We were walking down the sidewalk to the next store when a lady stepped out from Sublime Chocolate to invite us in for some chocolate samples. We obliged and sampled some awesome chocolate!!
I guess the item of the day was shoes. We next went to DSW to shop for shoes. We all found some that we liked!!
But then they all decided that they liked my selection the best!!
It was a hilarious site. My short sisters kept saying they were about to get nosebleeds because they were up so high on those 5 inch heels. :) While we were goofing off with the shoes a couple of other customers offered to take pictures of the 4 of us together.
They finally decided on their purchases and then it was time for lunch. We headed to P. F. Chang's China Bistro. It was sooo good. If you like Chinese food I recommend you give this place a try.
After lunch we had to take some pics for Chandler. :) One year I took him to the Dairy Museum and I wanted to get some pics of him and Rainey by those huge cows outside. He wanted me to take a pic of the rear end of the cow to send to Aunt KyKy. lol So these are for Chandler.
We headed to the Allen Outlets after lunch where my sisters proceeded to buy more shoes!! They came home with 8 pairs of shoes!!! My sister-in-law and I bought none!! We tried - we just couldn't find any that we liked or that were the right size or that measured up to the ones from DSW. LOL
After shopping around the outlets we headed to Grapevine to pick up my Tahoe. I was having a little ding fixed so we had to go pick it up at Classic Chevrolet. If you are in the market for a Chevrolet - check out Classic and ask for Matt.
We were worn out by this time so we headed in the direction of home. We did make one stop as we went through Rockwall where Tina found a couple of cute shirts. And I know you will not believe this but I did not buy one thing - except lunch. That's right all I brought home were the special memories that we made and you know what - that was all I needed.
