Busy Weekend

Headed to Britni's on Friday evening, went to Chick-fil-A (grandkids choice) and a quick trip to Target. On Saturday as I was getting read to run some errands, I heard a sweet little voice saying, "Breakfast is ready."  So I went into Rainey's room and she had made "breakfast" for me.  It was yummy - or nummy as Rainey says.

Afterwards we had a little shopping to do so while Britni ran into one store to look at children's clothes - the kids played in the little stream outside and I took pics! :)

This one was taken after church on Sunday.  Britni's flowers are so beautiful and so are her children!!

On Sunday afternoon Britni, Kylie, several other friends and I hosted a baby shower for our friend, Linza.  Baby showers are always fun.

Britni decided to do cupcakes and let everyone decorate their own. I only got a few pics of decorated cupcakes.

Staci's - the baby's grandmother.  She put an "S" on hers - it stands for Sassy which is going to be her grandmother name! Love it!!

One of the sweet gifts -

My beautiful girls!!

The shower was fun and Linza and baby, Paisley received some beautiful, fun gifts.

Road Trip

Austin went back to school after being home for the summer. I always hate to see the kids leave. He is living in a house with a couple of friends but when he went back his room was not quiet ready so Britni and I went down the following weekend to take his furniture. Britni had not ever been out there so she made the long trip with me. We had some seriously funny moments on this trip. When we get tired - everything is funny!! We didn't get to Lubbock until about 12:30 a.m. and we then unloaded the back end of the truck. We set up the bed and after I tripped all over it and fell on the rail which produced much bruising but nothing broken - we decided it was time for some rest.

We got up the next morning and finished unloading the pickup. We then did some shopping for Austin and finished setting up his room. We drove around campus and took some pictures and of course I talked them into eating at my favorite spot - Raising Canes. I may just get a job there when I retire from teaching! :)

It is always hard leaving since he is so far away!!

Ready for Fall

I decided that I wanted to decorate for Fall early this year (or earlier than I normally get it done!) so I could enjoy it longer. This weekend Robert went to visit his mother's and I kept Rainey since the rest of her family went to the Aggie football game so little miss Rainey and I put out all the pumpkins!!

A friend made this for me. It has the names of our children and their spouses and grandchildren and extra pumpkins for Austin's future spouse and for some more grandchildren. :)

There are some other areas in the house where we put fall flowers and a few other fall decorations. I still need to decorate the front porch. Maybe I will do that this next weekend!!

I am loving the cooler temperatures and thinking how nice it would be to be retired so I could sit out on the back porch in the mornings and drink coffee!!
