Stuff and then some...

School is out for the summer!!!! Yea!!!!! Britni and the kids will be in town for the summer. She will be working at the daycare so I will have the grandkids!!!



More detail on Britni's job - she will be teaching 2nd grade - across the hall from Linza which means they will be moving this summer? They will only be about 1 1/2 hours away. Super!! She is so excited. She said the principal is a super Christian man and the other 2nd grade teachers will be fun to work with. So now Chuck needs a job and they need to sell their home!!!



So one moves closer to home and the baby will be going away to school. Austin is leaving the nest. It will be so sad!! I know they are supposed to grow up and go out on their own but just last week he was a little boy!! :(

Thanksgiving!!

Yes - you read the title correctly. We are having Thanksgiving at our house. Britni got a teaching job! YEA!!!

Parties and such...

We are headed to a big birthday party today. Yep-our grandson, Noah is turning 2!! Wow!! I will post party pictures later! Happy Birthday, Noah!!



My stepson was accepted into grad school and will be starting soon. You'd better mind your p's and q's. He is a detective!! He will be getting his degree in Criminal Justice Leadership & Management. We are very proud of Trevor!!!

From grad school to bed pans...

Here is our precious little grad student! Britni was accepted into grad school! Awesome!! She is about to get started on her classes and she is so excited!! She will be the prettiest student there!!



Here's our precious little nursing student! She had orientation last week and her first quizzes yesterday and of course she did awesome!! She will be the prettiest nurse in the hospital!!



Congratulations to both of our beautiful girls!!! Good luck and we love you so much!!!

Granna's baby dress

I have a few dresses that I wore as a baby so this weekend we put one on Rainey. I thought that was pretty neat to see my grandbaby in my baby dress. This one looks pretty worn out!!

Picnic in the park continued...

After feeding the ducks and ourselves, we headed to the playground area. Chandler had fun riding his bike and sliding down the slide.








Chuck and Robert had a little pick up game on the basketball court and yes- Robert was whining and limping on Sunday.





Later on Steven and Kylie came over. They spent the night so they could also attend the baby dedication. They all had fun with bubbles and sidewalk chalk!!





I enjoyed the time spent I got to spend with my family!!

Picnic in the park

Robert and I went to visit the kids this weekend. They were having baby dedication. (pictures coming) The weather was beautiful on Saturday so after Britni and I ran a couple of errands we went to one of the many parks in town for a picnic. It is a neat park. It has a huge field where you can play soccer or football. Then there is a playground area where there are swings and a huge slide. There is also a basketball court and running/walking trails through the trees. You can follow some trails into the trees and at the back there is a litte pond. There is a dock where you can have a picnic or sit and watch the ducks. We decided to have a picnic there.



Along with ducks, a lot of turtles came up looking for food.


Granna and Chandler are buddies!! When he was little bitty I got him started saying "Granna and Chandler - like that." And we cross our fingers to stand for "like that".




Rainey decided she would have some Oreos.




It was a great day. More pictures to come of our fun time at the park.

Headed south....again!!

Yes - that's right. I am headed south again. Sunday is Baby Dedication Day at Chuck and Britni's church and they really make a big deal. They include the siblings of the baby and recognize grandparents and then they provide lunch for the families! And so - yes- I am headed south again for Little Miss Rainey's dedication. And of course to play trucks and cars with my little buddy, Chandler!!

Cousins

Are these girls beautiful or what?? Okay - so I am prejudiced!! The one on the left, Lindsay, belongs to my brother and his wife. She is their only child and she is so sweet. She married her high school sweetheart back in March. The girls were always good buddies and we have always taken pictures of them together growing up at family reunions and such!! So of course Kylie wanted her to be a part of her wedding.

These 2 characters are a mess!! Chandler loves to play with Dylan and Dylan is so good and patient with Chandler. They have a good time together.


These 2 cousins, Chandler and Alli, were so funny at the wedding. Chandler was a little bashful at first when the girls would try to hug him but by the end he was hugging them back.

Mother's Day Weekend

We went to help Steven and Kylie move into their apartment. They have a cute little apartment and Kylie wanted Britni and I to help her decorate. There are still a few things left to do - curtains and such but it looks good already. The guys took a little Wii break.

We were going out to eat so Rainey decided she needed to freshen her make-up.

Britni found Rainey the cutest little outfit with Little Sister on it and a little girl with brown pigtails.



When we got back to Chuck and Britni's, Chandler wanted to play in the water. Can you see mischief on big brother's face??!!


He squirted little sister with the water and she looked like a wet puppy!!


He is a sweet boy though. Just look at all that sweetness.


He will even share Mommy's ice cream. :)


We had a great weekend but were really tired at the end!!
